The use of let in active voice & Passive voice sentences

The let is used in the sentences in which we allow someone to do something. It is used in different sentences. When it is used in interrogative sentences, it always used at the beginning of the sentence.

Examples

Let him go.
Let the patient rest.
Let him eat.

Use of let in Tenses

Let is also used in different tenses. When it is used in tenses, the object is used after let and then the first form of the main verb is used immediately after the object.

Examples

He let me sits.
I let him go.
I shall let him read.

The Use of' let' in Passive Voice

'To' is never used after let but when let is used in passive voice sentences then 'to' is used.

Use of let at the beginning of the sentences

Some imperative sentences with 'let' start with let. In order to convert into passive voice, let is used at the beginning, and then the object is used. 'Be' is used after the object and then 1st form of the main verb is used.
