In this article, I have explained the use of Make in an active & Passive voice with examples and exercise. I have also given the example of active and passive voice with the use of make. The use of Make in Active Voice Sentences

Make is used in the sentence in which we ask someone or force someone to do something. In order to translate into English, Make is used according to the tense after subject, and after 'make', we use the person or thing which is used as an object. The first form of the verb is used after the object.

Structure of Active Voice Sentences

Subject  + Make + Object + Main Verb + Remaining part of the sentence
Subject + Make + Object + VI + Remaining part of the sentence

The Use of Make in Passive Voice Sentences

When we convert active voice sentences into passive voice,'To' is used before the word make.

Structure Of Passive Sentences

Object + Helping Verb + To + Made + Main Verb + By + Subject
Object + According to tense + To + Made + VIII + By + Subject

Examples

1. I make him run in this ground daily. (Active Voice)
   He is to made to run in the ground daily by me. (Passive Voice)
2. We make the guest sit very comfortably. (Active Voice)
  Guests were to made sit very comfortably by us(Passive Voice)
3. The mother will make her children sleep within an hour. (Active Voice)
   Children will be to made sleep within an hour by the mother. (Passive Voice)
4. Did the Mother make her children pluck many flowers? (Active Voice)
   Were children to made plucked many flowers by the mother? (Passive Voice)
5. People made a popular singer sing many songs. (Active Voice)
   The popular singer was to made sung many songs by people. (Passive Voice)
6. The teacher made all the naughty students stand up the bench. (Active Voice)
   All the naughty students were to made stood up the bench by the teacher. (Passive Voice)
7. Villagers always make their guests sit under shady trees. (Active Voice)
   Their guests are to made sat under shady trees by villagers. (Passive Voice)
8. The teacher made students read poems. (Active Voice)
   Students were to made read poems by the teacher. (Passive Voice)
9. Did you make your friends stay in a hotel? (Active Voice)
   Were your friends to made stayed in a hotel by you? (Passive Voice)
10. The mother made the baby sleep with a slap. (Active Voice)
   The baby was to made slept with a slap by the mother. (Passive Voice)
11. Did you make your children see many animals in the zoo? (Active Voice)
   Were your children to made saw many animals in the zoo? (Passive Voice)
12. These rich men make themselves people eat food for the hungry people of the city. (Active Voice)
   The hungry people of the city are to made eaten food by these rich men. (Passive Voice)
